Artist of Ukrainian origin Liudmyla Romashchenko.

This stunning piece, "Before the trip", by Ukrainian artist Liudmyla Romashchenko, is a perfect example of her ability to bring the maritime scene to life through her use of vibrant colors and detailed brushwork. The painting is a beautiful combination of realism and artistic interpretation, forming a deep connection between the viewer and the landscape. It is a testament to her mastery of the tempera painting technique.

Romashchenko's use of professional-grade pigments has resulted in a color palette that is both intense and warm, offering a striking contrast against the calm, serene waters. The deep ochre, fiery cadmium orange, and soft rose madder in the clouds create an atmospheric effect, framing the traditional sailing vessels as they prepare for their voyage.

The intricate rendering of the sailing vessels stands as a central focal point, showcasing the artist's meticulous attention to detail. Each rigging is carefully depicted, enhancing the sense of realism and making each vessel appear lifelike. This level of detail extends to the smaller sailboats and the gulls in flight, adding a sense of movement and life to the otherwise idyllic scene.

The reflection of the luminous sky on the calm waters further enhances the visual impact of the painting. The intense colors of the horizon, reflected on the water's surface, create an almost mirror-like effect that adds depth and vibrancy to the artwork.

"Before the trip" is more than just a painting; it is a captivating visual narrative that invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the peaceful, tranquil ambiance of the maritime landscape. This artwork is a testament to Romashchenko's artistic prowess and her ability to capture the beauty and tranquility of the sea in her works. It is truly a must-have piece for any art enthusiast or maritime lover.
